My Link Rabbit Hole of the Day.

Before I start: Mardel has 20% all day tomorrow.

Sleepy, pregnant, and unmotivated. I have spent the evening on Facebook, email, and Stumbleupon getting stuck in what I call a rabbit hole. You know, where one link leads you to another and hours later you are lost.  I found several “school related items”, and facts and statistics that I found interesting. Here is my finds 3 hours later:

To steel Mamaista’s Facebook topic, Lilsugar has some really cute affordable lunch box items in a slide show. The cupcake holder (pictured above, so practical) is available for $3 at cooking.com.

To steal something else, the puffer backpack is, I guess, the IT thing, but to be honest I would have guessed mesh. The good thing is wheels for the older kids seem to be out, which is great for lockers. Anyway this backpack will probably well copied a year from now because it is a pricey $118 at Serena and Lilly.

Stumbleupon is kind of neat. It takes what you like, and tailors the web just for what you like.  For me it’s like going down a rabbit hole. I find one I like , I like and bookmark it, then it goes on.

Through Stumble upon I got linked to this article “Do Books in the House Make Smarter Kids?”. Which linked me to “Book Owners Have Smarter Kids“. As many books as I have and have bought the unborn, I love this!

Then I “stumbled” upon a Minnesota one room school-house. I could go on, but I’d still be stumbling.

I love Parenting Magazine, and going through my email (I am still stumbling BTW ), I noticed that there are coupon codes on the BTS bargain buys article that I profiled a couple of weeks ago.

About schmeggo

Hi there and welcome to my little piece of web. I am a wife, a step mom, mom, and a teacher among other things. I am addicted to school supplies and getting things for as little as possible. During July and August I spend Sundays coming the papers and stalking my local Staples trying to find items at prices that I can get over 120 of them. During the school year, this is a personal blog of educational interest. I am by no means an expert on education and child rearing, but through trial and error, I hope we can help each other out. Whether you are buying for one or one-hundred, kindergarten to college, I hope that my little web space can help you find something trendy or cheap to make back to school on any day easier.
